Vibrant large-format calendar with high-resolution colour images showcasing the book-covers of Penguin Books and celebrating some of the artists who were key to evolving the cover design of their famous orange fiction series.  Featuring giants of illustration such as Paul Hogarth, David Gentleman and Milton Glaser and lesser known artists who have since become unjustly forgotten.  This is the second of a series dedicated to the Heroic Age of Illustration - the period from the end of the Second World War to the early seventies when the use of hand-drawn illustration had yet to be  superceded by photography.  For lovers of great illustration, book covers, Penguins and 20th century design.
